Figment Art Festival

Not that we're partial to free art events, but here's another one for you guys to check out, even though it's not in Brooklyn.

Figment* takes place on Governor's Island for the weekend of June 12-14. It will open Friday at 10am and last until 5pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 10am until 7am. Participation is open to any and all artists who are willing to haul their art out there, and free to all voyeurs. As well as art, there will be music, lectures, performances, activities, and a children's section.

While the list is enormously long, it is imperitive to mention that the very popular founders of Wooster Collective will be presenting a lecture about what they do best!

Find out more about it at their website: http://figmentnyc.org/2009/

The Renegade Craft Fair last weekend was amazing. The amount of booths was prodigious, and the lack of food and drink equally so. A couple good bargains were to be had in quality ceramics, art prints, and various other things. We will post links to a few choice vendors Etsy stores soon.
